We have data centres located in Glasgow, London and the M4 corridor to ensure that nothing less than the most catastrophic disaster (such as a UK-wide power or Internet failure) will affect your business.

Our dedicated quad-core servers are of the highest specification and all have RAID-protected disks and uncontended backbone Internet connectivity. We do not use virtual servers.

All the ReDeTrack servers we host come with a failover partner server. These servers are always located at a different geographical location to the main server and their databases are continually updated to provide a complete and up-to-date copy that can be used in the event of an unexpected outage.

During extended principal server outages, the failover server can be promoted to principal server, providing full read and write services ensuring seamless continuity. On restoration of the failed server, the failover server will provide updates to allow the principal server to catch up before taking over as principal again.

All our databases and sotware are backed-up between data centres as well as at our head office to ensure that the risk of data loss is at an absolute minumum. In the unlikely event of a loss of all hard disks on both your primary and fail-over server, your data will be recovered from the most recent backup to your restored (or replaced) servers. Backups are archived at daily, weekly and monthly intervals.

The PDAs maintain local storage of work data sent from the server and any information collected by their operators. This ensures that the PDA user can continue with their work even without being connected to a server and that any actions captured will be held until they can be broadcast to the server when it is restored.

In the event of a longer principal server outage, the PDAs can also be switched to using the failover server to ensure that new work instructions can be sent and activity information can be received and reported.
