Since
adopting ReDeTrack, Intercity are receiving more business from their
existing customers and have added two new well known names to their
list of clients. Their customers keep an eye on delivery progress using
ReDeTrack's online reporting system and their delivery drivers capture
delivery and collection details and POD information using their rugged
hand held computers.
"Intercity Express, a
privately owned company specialising in high street distribution
turned to Dave Hindle of Isware in order to develop a cost effective,
user friendly reporting system to replace the paper audit trail for
their deliveries to and collections from 430 [retail outlet stores]
throughout the UK.
From inception Dave
and his colleagues were very hands on, developing the first edition
of the system from scratch within 6 months.
The system has made many
people happy. The client is able to monitor deliveries and
collections of returns and customers handsets for repair in real
time. Our 40 drivers are not now burdened with paperwork and
operational staff no longer need spend long periods entering pod
information into our computer system.
All the delivery and
collection information is held on a secure server via our internet
website.
ReDeTrack continues
to be developed with satnav mapping
imminent.
